Truck ramps are time and cost effective tools used in the industry to load and unload pallets and other heavy items into containers and lorry's. Standard ISO containers and rear loading vehicles can be unloaded with a pallet truck, however pallets are usually stacked high with heavy items for efficient transport making it difficult for a forklift to move move in a confined space. As not all warehouses have a permanent docking area contained in them, truck ramps are effective way to do this.
Our yellow truck ramps have been engineered to be efficient when one needs to load and unload. Because a forklift can be used to load and unload items from trucks, via the truck ramp, the amount of time spent to do this is only a fraction of the time that would be needed if one was to use a pallet truck. This creates a safer working environment as manual lifting is not needed.
Our truck ramps include features such as a grid mesh, allowing extra grip for the forklift. While the hydraulic components of the ramp have been placed where they are least likely to sustain damage maximizing the life of the ramps.
Our ramps are built in Australia and are distributed throughout Australasia.
Truck Loading ramp is the ideal access solution where a load must remain on a truck whilst being unloaded. Our ramps are both made in Australia and imported . The Australian standard that is critical to the construction of these truck ramps is Australian Standard AS 1657 – 1992.
You will see from the photos above that the main area of the ramp is of gridmesh construction with “I” Beam sections to either side , the pivoting tray is adjusted by the use of a hydraulic cylinder to the required height. The truck ramp can be moved by a forklift into position, in most instances the adjustable support legs have wheels at their base. Safety chains attach the ramp to the truck or container.
You may have a detailed requirement in which case the information you should provide us is the height from the ground of the trucks to be unloaded, the weight requirement of the truck ramp and details of the forklift to be used. We try to keep the ramps under 12 meters in total so that they can be loaded inside a 40’ container.
The Ramp is full steel construction, with steel serrated mesh on the incline section for forklift traction and steel chequer plate (non-slip) on the level off section and is designed for operator friendly use with heavy duty kick rails to the sides and landing.
It is fitted with two safety chains , to attach to the vehicle being loaded/unloaded to avoid the ramp moving away while the Forklift is being used.
Truck ramps are time and cost effective solution for the transport and logistics industry to facilitate fast loading and unloading of truck mounted shipping containers and semi -trailer trucks. Standard ISO containers and rear loading vehicles can be easily and quickly unloaded with a forklift truck. As not all warehouses have a permanent docking area contained in them, truck ramps are effective way to do this.
Both truck ramp models include features such as a grid mesh and adjustable decks with the assistance of hydraulic operated lifting.
